Failure boot "Cannot reserve MMIO region"

Post by bohdaniel »

When I try to boot linuxmint 10 Julia with USB Flash before loading the desktop an error occurs: "0000:00:01.0: Cannot reserve MMIO region" and the system goes to reboot. Previously, I have not such problems in Linuxmint 9, everything is fine start on my laptop MSI Wind U230. Tried different images of the system (CD, DVD, OEM, 386, x64) - the same error.
I do not know what to do. Really like LinuxMint, do not want to install other OS . Now I use Linuxmint 9. Maybe I can update the system without booting with the USB?
Thanks!

There is little chance that that message has anything to do with your problem. That message is post due to the process that is included in the boot process called Tracing memory-mapped I/O operations and the message is, as I understand it, there for developers. If you want to know more the read....
