Post by MidnightWatcher »

I have an old PC laying around, would it take Linux Mint 10 x86 with only 256MB of RAM?

Why to torture yourself? It is possible, but Mint Debian is a lighter choice ..

I recently tried this with Mint 10 and Mint 9, and even from mint10 CD version.
Although the live cd would boot ......eventually, they all failed to install.
In fact it was ages before i realised it had so little RAM
It does state a minimum of 512M......
