I want to install Mint on a usb flash drive to run on at least two different puters. But o e is 32 bit and one 64. On the download page you need to choose:
http://www.linuxmint.com/download.php
What to do. Also, is it enough to download the Live DVD and choose to install on the flash drive, or do I need to do something else.

Re: boot from one flash drive, two puter one 32 one 64 bit
The 32-bit version of Linux Mint will support CPUs of both 32-bit and 64-bit architecture (i.e. 64-bit CPUs are backwards compatible and can support both 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems). Therefore, download the 32-bit .iso, and then use usb-creator-gtk or unetbootin to create a bootable USB from that iso file. In particular, if you want a persistent installation (as opposed to a "live" session) of Linux Mint on your flash drive, usb-creator-gtk makes it really easy to do so.

As Vincent said 32bit also see http://runninglinux.weebly.com about running mint on USB.
Re: boot from one flash drive, two puter one 32 one 64 bit
I have installed the cd 32 bit on a flash drive using this:
http://www.pendrivelinux.com/universal- ... -as-1-2-3/
But I didn't get to do the installation (name pass and so) and the only user is called mint. I seems as if this is the demo thing you can do when installing from a cd. What should I do to aactually install it on the flash drive?

Use usb-creator-gtk if you want a persistent USB install. Read my above post.

Tried that and many other apps. All were shit, they just made me boot from the USB. I installed from the Live CD to the drive, worked gr8vincent wrote:Use usb-creator-gtk if you want a persistent USB install. Read my above post.
