Version 3.1 Celena.

I am the only user and administrator.

/dev/hda has 2 linux systems on it

/dev/hdb has a MS Vista and 2 Linux systems on it.

I can see the contents but cannot write on the ntfs/Vista partition Data/dev/hdb1

From root on the "Data" icon a right click-->properties gets this error:
Couldn't change the the permissions of "Data" because it is on a read only disk.
Here is /etc/fstab

Code: Select all

# /etc/fstab: static file system information.
#
# <file system> <mount point> <type> <options> <dump> <pass>

You have

Code: Select all

# /dev/hdb5
# /dev/hdb6
# /dev/hdb7
# /dev/hda1
One of these is your Vista I believe. Remove it and check that you have chosen mintDisk to mount ntfs and fat
This is different in Daryna as Gutsy has built in support for ntfs
