Have Mint 10 installed with windows 7 - love it!
Have created a second "primary" partition (200 gigs) and wish to install mint 10 in it.
1. How do I do that?
2. How do I boot to it on start up?
Thanks ,
John

Re: Install in 2nd partition
Put in the live CD, when the desktop is loaded click on install mint, go through all the prompts until you get to partitions, select manual partition, RMB the 200 GB partition and choose Mount As / and format as ext4, continue through the prompts and when you get to the Install Grub step, make sure it stays selected. The system will install and you will have a menu on boot to choose between Linux and Windows.
Using Mint since 2008

Re: Install in 2nd partition
Short and SWEET
It was the ext4 that did it! I had tried and tried and couldn't work it out.
Thank you ( a million),
John
