4.0 Live version won't boot on ultra small laptop,

I have Bianca loaded on a 7" Kohinsha SA1 laptop and thought I'd install the newest version.

I've downloaded the main version and put it on a USB stick (this laptop doesn't have a CD to boot from). This stick boots and runs OK on another larger screened laptop.

On the Kohinsha, even though I entered vga=771 noapic nosplash break=top and all_generic_ide at the boot prompt, all I get is a blank screen!

What other options can I enter on boot that might help get it running?

Why do you want to use a 7 inch laptop?
From Bianca to Daryna a lot has changed. I think the kernel may be the problem.
Mentioned in the release notes are
nosplash noapic noacpi
also nolapic
The vga=771 option is useful but only affects text mode, not X
What hardware does it have?

Well, it weighs less than 1kg and it fits easily into a small slipcase to carry around when I'm working in central London, so thats why I use it.

It uses an AMD Geode LX video chipset and I've allocated 256mb of the 1gb onboard ram I have. In Bianca's Device manager, it says the OEM vendor is Inventec Corporation. Product ID is 8321.

I don't know if this helps but Gutsy now provides a package named xserver-xorg-video-amd which contains the graphics drivers for AMD Geode CPUs.
It's in Synaptic
I believe I've seen someone using a geode LX in the forum but that was some time ago
