Installer can't find my HDD
I've installed other debian based distros before but not on this new machine i built. It only recognizes my 1tb HDD thats is plugged in externally. When I wan't it to install it on 1 of the 2 internal drives i have plugged in via SATA. Any suggestions to recognize these drives?

Re: Installer can't find my HDD
Are your internal drives set up with raid by any chance?
Re: Installer can't find my HDD

Re: Installer can't find my HDD
I see no reason why it shouldn't show. According to that information, your /dev/sda is formatted in FAT-filesystem which should show in gParted and the installer of course. The size seem a bit odd for a SATA disc though, only 4Gb. Why is that ?
Re: Installer can't find my HDD
LinXea is dead right, not only is 4Gb pretty small for a drive these days, but the second internal drive is not recognised at all. Are they seen in the bios and are they plugged in properly?
Re: Installer can't find my HDD
They are both seen in bios, and the multi boot selection screen. The 4gb might the remaining space of the xbox drive that im using since I haven't reformatted that yet. But the other drive is 100gb that has a windows 7 partition on it currently.
Re: Installer can't find my HDD
I am also suffering for this problem. You people provide good guidence about it. I really like it very much. I think this is easiest technique that you provide over here. After reading this thread I have checked my bios as well as multi boot selection screen. And finally I found the problem.
