Trying to install Xfce and stuck
Why does it keep asking me for /root before installing. I never saw this with Mint 9. I created a partition and can't get past there. I really want this newer faster Mint. Please help. BTW I read the instruction again and they have been updated so they are no help for this.

Re: Trying to install Xfce and stuck
You use gparted, in the installer to create 3 partitions.
1) /
2) swap
3) /home
I have a 500 GB hard drive but you could set your partitions up similar if you want. I made the / (root) partition 15 GB and formatted it ext4, should be more than enough room. I made a 2 GB swap and the remaining space is /home formatted ext4.
Getting the partitioning done is just a matter of figuring out how to use gparted.
