Hi
".......I have a HP Omnibook 6100 and the following problem with Gutsy
- I can only start the GNOME desktop in recovery mode
- My notebook often turns off during boot process (since Kernel 2.6.20).
I found a solution for the last problem in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+s....20/+bug/89892
Rename the file "intel-rng.ko" in "intel-rng.ko.off". This makes the file invisible to the boot process
The file is in lib/modules/2.6.22-9-generic/2.6.22-9-generic/kernel/drivers/char/hw_random/
This is not solved yet in Kernel 2.6.22 !........"

Hi
You cannot change it on ISO, if you can find a way of installing it you can. There seems to be a problem with some
HP notebooks, best read all the way through this forum, there are
several parameters suggested to change at boot.
Problems with Gutsy on HP laptops.

Make sure CD is OK as suggested in this forum
Anybody?
