modprobe: WARNING: Not loading blacklisted module ipv6

Postby rectagon on Tue Dec 04, 2007 1:08 am

Hi there. I've read everything I can find in the forum about this (especially trying noapic nolapic noacpi... etc) to no avail.

I'm trying to get the live cd running on an older Thinkpad (pent 2, 96mb or RAM) and it keeps stopping with this message. When the message comes up it does seem to do some more work.. then slowly comes to a stop. The machine isn't frozen though... but I can't get any command prompt. :( I'm open to ideas.

Same problem here. The thing is though, that i have 2 GB RAM therefore it can't be it. However the machine continues (seemingly) properly. I have some problems later on but i don't know for sure if they are related with that error.
I'll write about them somewhere else.
Thanks in advance.
