Hello,
I have been using Mint on laptop since Cassandra. But the boot of Daryna fails on desktop pc: Jetway M2A692-GHG (AMD 690G/SB600), Athlon X2 4000, SATA HD, ATI 2600XT, 2GB RAM
I tried several boot options (noapic, nolapic, irqpoll, acpi=off, fb=false, ...), safe graphic mode, vesa in xorg and Bios Power Management settings.
Without "acpi=off" the boot hangs on hardware detection. With "acpi=off" and without splash Mint is booting fine till "Starting GNOME Desktop Manager...[OK] Starting CUPSD...". ---> reboot
Booting with "acpi=off" and splash ends with a mash of wrong coloured Mint wallpaper and instant reboot.
No matter if I use the PCIE or onboard (ATI X1250) graphic card. No problems with Suse and Damn Small Linux.
Thanks

Re: Live CD crashes and restarts
It is an Gutsy incompatibility with some ATI graphic cards
