Questions about Grub, UEFI,the liveCD and the installer
I've tried everything that a new user could and I can't seem to get Mint to start the installation process from a burned CD. (I couldn't get Ubuntu to work either - Same Error!)
AX = 4280 Drive 9F
Basically I would like to know if it's possible to install Mint on one hard drive by using the files on another. If so I'll need a detailed explanation if possible.

This is either an error in ISO-linux or problems with SATA from what I find.
Have you checked the md5sum and burned slowly?
Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it

Hi Krovvy Do you have a place to put Mint meaning do you have the drive pre partitioned. If the drive has only one partition it won't work because down the line its going to want to format the drive and it can't format the operating drive or it would wipe itself out. The drive has to have a partition to install Mint in or free space. You can't put a partition in used space however you can resize the main partition and make it smaller then you will have a place to make a partition.
