After upgrades broke my LMDE installation I decided to restore my root partition.
But fortunately now my system won't boot anymore.
My /boot is on a separate partition and some past updates changed the grub config to UUID.
Somehow I need to revert my grub config so it will boot with my image again. (Image is good, it was tested after I made it)
Are changes to the grub config logged somewhere??

Re: Removing UUID from Grub2
sudo blkid will give you a list of the UUID's or sudo blkid -o value -s UUID for more info
