move entire system to another hard drive

I bought a new hard drive. I want to move Daryna, the complete system to the new hard drive.
I have a / partition and a /home partition and a swap.
Where can I get info on how to do this? I tried a clean install but that wasn't working at all. It seems the installed Daryna intermingles with the fresh install and all kinds of weird stuff happens.

Thank you. Ive looked at the wiki page and even Ubuntu but was unable to locate any directions.

There are a few ways to do this
You could use some special appliance like Acronis to do it. These are not free of charge though....
Or you could "copy Unix style" and use/adjust this post to your needs
