Can I boot from memory stick pro duo removable storage?

Post by TwoDee »

I'm having problems with my cd rom drive and need a clean install, is it possible to boot from a memory chip in my card reader?

Don't see why not if you can make it bootable in the bios

There are lots of tutorials on this on a quick Google search, so it should be possible. Make sure your BIOS supports this, and it is enabled (check you motherboard or laptop manual for this). I'm not entirely sure, but I think you should be able to write an ISO to an SD card with unetbootin.
