Post by jgilk1 »

well i installed linuxmint-10-lxde-rc-i386 back in febuary/march of this year on my netbook (toshiba nb505) (its installed inside the windows partition) got every thing set and running well... tonight i lost internet connection... so i reset the router and linux said it was connected but was not getting any internet connection... well like usuall i selected shut down... it went to the normal black screen with text and froze for about 20 minutes so i unplugged the computer and pulled the battery reinserted booted up linux selected the boot # at the top of the list (what ever bunch of numbers)

and get something or other init=bootarg

boot box # linux build #

(initramfs)

or some thing like that

i will fill this in better just getting this up as quick as possible

am i fubar and need to whipe and redo the linux install or what can i do?

This is very simple to fix.

You just need to type in some stuff or somethin'

and then unplug the thingy and put in that other whatsit

and it all does something and then you type startmeup.

I'll give you some more instructions after i finish my milk and cookies.

no init found. Try init= bootarg
