I've been using Linux for a few years already, so let's jump the very basic possibilities for my problem. I have a new notebook, and I couldn't boot any distro so far. I've tried Ubuntu 7.10, OpenSuse 10.3 and the last one was Daryna. I'm almost sure the problem is the wireless card.
My toy:
MB: Asus T12Ug
AMD Turion 64X2 TL-50 1,6Ghz
chipset AMD M690, AMD Hammer
VGA ATI Radeon X1200
Wireless 802.11 b/g USB Wireless LAN Module Atheros AR5007EG
I've tried the option nosplash noapic noacpi --, and the boot process stops just after a sequence of messages about ath_pci.
I've read about this chip working with madwifi driveres, but to try them or ndiswrapper I needed at least a complete boot.
I hope I gave enough information. Thanks
