Ubuntu to Mint
I have Ubuntu 10.10. I don't like Unity. I have a separate home partition. If I install Mint 11 in "/"; will my Ubuntu ·home" be compatible? Thanks

No problem. Some settings can be different if you use the same username. With the same username can be some problems with an ownership of the home folder, but you can take the ownership via recovery mode using command chown -R your_username /home/your_username
