Can't start installation (Daryna KDE).

Hello.

I tried to install Linux Mint 4.0 Daryna KDE Community Edition BETA 011. Live CD is booted successfully.

But installation is not started after clicking on "Install" icon on the desktop.
There is only "Loading application" (a few seconds) in the taskbar and no new windows anymore.

Also I tried to execute "ubiquity kde_ui" and "ubiquity --desktop kde_ui" via terminal but result is the same (and there is no output in the terminal).

I have no idea what is the reason of that behavior. Please help.

This could be a bad CD
Did you check the md5sum and burn at a slow speed?

md5sum is correct (checked it a minute ago). DVD was burn at a very slow speed x2.

I'm sure that there is another reason of the issue.
Of course, I'll continue to search solution in the Internet, but I need help still.

By the way, I created another one DVD (copied iso file to another PC, checked md5sum again and burned new DVD at 2x speed).
Unfortunately, the result on my laptop is the same (
Do you have another ideas how to resolve this issue?

Maybe could help more if you posted the specifications of your
computer and partions etc

If you have two CD/DVD drives try it in the other

I have the same Issue. Live-cd runs great, but install-program does nothing.

Dell d600 laptop.

Found it!

Close all programs in Tray, I think it is a memory-issue (found a line about it with google doing nothing when low on mem).
I closed all programs and off it went !

(512 MB ram dell laptop)
