IAA on Linux?

I bought a new 160gig HD. My hardware (Dell 2400) is only able to read 137.4. When I try to install mint using a size of 130gig I receive errors. I set up my drive using the installer and partition a 130gig ext3 and a 2gig swap. Also of course I get errors using the full 160gig.

Can you use Intels IAA with Linux? I have an Intel 8xx chipset. I don't know much about IAA, so any info would be great. Or any advice at all.

check your bios and see what it list your hard drive as it mabe using the wrong setting there like 3 chs lba large if chs list your dive as 160 set it to that and you may have to add chs to grub boot line
