Yay! Rebooted and now see LM 12 on sda1 but there are two of them. One is "generic-pae" the other is just "generic." wondering what the difference might be.

pae, read wiki if you want details
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Physical_Address_Extension

pae-kernel allows a 32-bit computer access RAM beyond the 4G limit,
normal kernel for 32-bit computer had a 4G RAM size limit, so if you have more than 4G RAM you need pae-kernel.

Thank you Wayne! Very nice explanation and I do have more than 4 Gig of RAM so will select PAE.

Linux 12RC is now running flawlessly so far, and you have not only assisted in that, you have taught me many, many things. I am stunned at the flexibility of this whole system.

Glad to know your have your Dual boot system working with mint 11 and mint 12RC
