I am confused ? When I boot Mint 12 Lisa "Live" in Virtual Box
there is no log on screen. It just boots straight to the desktop...
The only time it ever asked for a password was After I installed it.
And of course , I had entered my own User name and password at the end of the install.
Have not tried to boot computer from the CD yet. But I would guess it would be the same deal.
Same here; I have Lisa installed to VirtualBox and went just like it did for you. The only time Lisa asks for a password is following installation. That's what made my question here so frustrating. The two live CDs wanted a password FIRST, before installation.
I only have one 2 and a half year old cd-rw. I tried to burn an iso of Lisa 5 times before getting one that booted. The sixth one booted but wanted a password. I ended up trying another burn after reading via Google about someone who had had the same problem with Linux Mint 10. He was told to burn a "legitimate" copy, not a RC. But this time, Mint 12 had been released so I tried a seventh burn that also booted but also wanted that elusive password. The eighth, ninth, and 10th burns didn't boot.
I suppose I'll just have to hold off for another week until I have the money to buy some DVDs.
