persistant live cd/usb-stick

Post by olduser »

hello clem
I have been trying out Daryna live disk on a USB stick (I allready have Daryna installed and running)
and the one thing to make it really useful would be a Settings saver as with Noppix .

I have Web Mail and firefox but it is a pain to open mints home >prefs>behavior.single click and firefox options and set downloads to to my data disk folder mint downloads.
The reason for using USB stick ---- rootkit, keyloggers and other nastys die when i shut down so I use it for online banking &buying on line,
I realise you and your team are very busy but the last time I did any programmig it was Basic 8 on a commadore 128 , so i'm a bit old to start again :-(

The Howto for the USB stick is in the forums someware
