[solved] First camera snapshot during install.

Post by roger64 »

Hi

When I installed LM12 some few days ago on my brand new Toshiba laptop, Lisa proposed me to take a still photo using the videocam so that I could use it later for IM instead of the classical logo. The quality of the images was extremely good and clear (this is not intended to make you believe I am nice looking :D )

When much later, I tried to use Skype, I struggled with videocam trials, about quality, brightness and so on.

Could someone tell me which command, or which software LM12 is using to activate the videocam during the very first minutes of the install process of LM12?

I'm not certain, but it is probably Cheese as this is the default webcam app for Mint.
