install from pen drive?

hey i have a notebook and currently the cd wont work can i install mint from a pen drive?
i have ubuntu installed but im getting the wrong resolution and i cant use my wireless im hoping switching to mint will solve this

This question has popped up at least 10 times lately, please do a search before asking again. anyway, here is one out of three different ways to do it:
