Are you installing Linux Mint into its own partition - or trying to install it into the Windows 7 partition?

I'm installing it on It's own partition (E: with 188GB of free space). Windows is installed in C: by the way.

Now that I know what mint4win is, a windows .exe file - and is usable on Linux Mint 12, not 11. I'm unable to assist you with the problem. I install Linux from Linux dvds. Set up the three partitions first then install Linux.

Cheers

This error happens if you have external media connected connected like Ipods, mp3 players, usb, etc. This error is more common in the windows vista environment.Try disconnecting them first before running mint4win.

Hope this helps!!

When you want to install Mint on its own partition, you'd better remove the E: partition completely, boot the Mint CD, and then install "next to Windows" i.e. in the empty space left by the removal of E:.
