Are you running linux at the moment, do you have a gnome environment or KDE ?

I had the same problem untill I downloaded the torrent instead of from the ftp site.
maybe a problem with the ftp site??
I burned 5 cd's from the ftp site none worked but the torrent did.

I downloaded my first iso from USA: webergyltd.com and also tried planetmirror same problem. The torrent worked fine, I will download the iso again and see how it works and post the error codes here if any.
