[SOLVED]Can't Run GParted in Linux Mint 11

Hi

I'm unable to run gparted even though it shows that it is installed. Here are the results I get in Terminal:

 gdawg-Inspiron-530s ~ # gparted
The program 'gparted' is currently not installed.  You can install it by typing:
apt-get install gparted
gdawg-Inspiron-530s ~ # apt-get install gparted
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree       
Reading state information... Done
gparted is already the newest version.
0 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 6 not upgraded.
 

Any help will be appreciated.

Type in:

Code: Select all

sudo gparted

In the terminal, or a run window.

hi gdawg, that's weird. When you try to run it says it's not installed and when you try to install, it says you already have the latest. I'd suggest that you completely un-install and then re-install.

apt-get purge gparted

followed by

Code: Select all

 apt-get install gparted
