I broke dpkg during install of lmms from youtube. can it be hot fixed or is some form of re-install necessary?

Can you share how you know it is broken? Is there some output from the terminal you could share perhaps.

thank you for responding. cure was to go in safe mode,run fsck then the dpkg tool. after 1 hour on my slooow connection everything hunky-dory.
debian mint. top combo !
