GNU Grub screen Booting Screen

Postby Simba23 on Sun May 06, 2012 12:07 am

HI everyone.

I'm new to Linux Mint 12 KDE. I was wondering if you can some how set the booting screen "GNU Grub" to auto so it will boot into the normal operating system right away without hitting enter or waiting the time allowed??

thanks for your input.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Not Mint KDE specific, grub menu had default selection as well as default timer ( usually 10 seconds).

If you do not do anything after boot up computer, just watch, it will start the default line after timer expire.

You can always set the timer to shorter, or even zero, then the default selection should start immediately.

How do you set it to 0 or get rid of the timer? As with Linux Mint 12 Gnome this screen does not show up until a power failare on reboot. Why doesn't KDE have the samething set up like that or how do you set it up like that.

thanks for your input.
