acpi_call and kernel 3.4.0 for nvidia optimus

I installed LMKDE 12 , installed the kernel 3.4.0 amd64 and tried building acpi_call.
The build is successfull(make, make install as root).
However when i load the kernel module(insmod acpi_call.ko), it spews out a bunch of text and freezes.
I am sure this is reproducible cause i tried it on some other amd64 pc's(2 actually 2nd gen i3 and i7).

Could some one shed some insight into this and how i can disable my optimus nvidia with this kernel.
