Right-click menu hidden behind taskbar

Postby Konstellation on Sun May 06, 2012 10:26 pm

In Lisa (Gnome desktop environment), I noticed when I right-click on a file or folder, sometimes the menu is too long. Sometimes the mouse scroll function doesn't work because the up / down arrows don't appear if the menu's length is just at the same height as the "taskbar", so basically the "Properties" option is blocked, hidden behind the "taskbar", and I'll have to use the arrow keys to highlight & select it.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

This is a small bug in GShell or in the shell theme you are using, not specifically a Linux Mint bug. FYI I have the same issue with gajim icon, for example, but it behaves and looks right in a Cinnamon session.

Thanks. I'll try changing the shell & theme. I seem to face more problems with this new release. Didn't have much problems when using Mint 5 Elyssa. Eagerly awaiting the next release.

I accessed "Advanced Settings" from the desktop & I noticed that there was no option to change the shell; Or rather, there were no additional shells installed. How do I install new shells?
