Linux Mint keeps crashing when I click and drag files

Hi all,

I'm new to Linux and have been trying to get acquainted with Linux Mint. A bug I can't seem to figure out is a crash that happens when I click and drag files from one window to another and then use the ALT key to copy. Both windows disappear and the entire desktop goes blank for a few moments. I thought I had recently fixed it due to an issue with WxWidgets and FileZilla (I upgraded WxWidgets due to the same occurring within FileZilla), but apparently not.

Any ideas? Is this also happening to anyone else?
