I successfully used the Linux Mint 9 USB installer on my 8gig flash drive and it works well. When I use my PC I can see 2.6gigs free in its folder, and just experimenting, I could store files there from my PC with no adverse effect on Mint, but I can't "see" nor access those stored files from either Nautilus or FileZilla. My non-techie search found people saying that creating a "home" directory on my flash drive will allow me to store files there that are accessible by both Mint and my PC but they don't state exactly how to do this or whether it is safe, so I came to the experienced people here for knowledge.
Also, its it possible to "flush" the memory in persistent memory to make room since there seems no way to prune specific files that keep filling it up?
Thanks for any info!
