Play video on a LAN

Postby FoolOnTheHill on Sat Mar 08, 2008 6:22 pm

Hi..

I'm unable to play video directly from my Lan. I always have to copy the files before hand.. that is kind of a bummer...

I tryed Totem and VLC.. none worked..

Totem gives the error: "No entry plug in found to manipulate the location of this movie"

All my other pcs in the lan are windows partitions...

Can someone help me? thank you...

I've found conflicting reports on if they play over a lan or not

Don't fix it if it ain't broken, don't break it if you can't fix it
