GNOME Do

Post by MagnusB »

Have anyone looked at GNOME Do? You all should take a look at http://do.davebsd.com/. If you want to know what it is, look at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zij7MuY29Ww. I compiled it at my DL partition (for the fun of it) and currently I have to start it from GNOME menu before the keyboard shortcut works..

Similar to alt+F2, but seems to have a few features that could be useful, like marking a text and choose run as a command in terminal, define a word in a dictionary, and more. Needs some getting used to though. And I have never really explored KDE thoroughly, so wouldn't know how similar it is to that :)

Gnome Do is more or less a clone of Quick Silver for OS X, it's extremely powerfull and can save a lot of time once you got it setup right.
