I need to ask, are you using GNOME? Then it could be a living hell to compile KTorrent, I would go for Transmission (lightweight GTK) or Deluge (alternative GTK) as you don't need the huge amount of libs with that... If not, my advise is: Patience young one, compiling is 1 part installing, 3 parts finding out you are missing 1223 dependencies :)

compiling is 1 part installing, 3 parts finding out you are missing 1223 dependencies :)
and a few parts banging your head on the wall so you don't throw the computer out the window :mrgreen:
