avidemux2 file?

I found avidemux2 a lot better to use, but I think there might be a file that goes with it that avidemux (1) doesn't have? Maybe I'm wrong, I'm not sure. I have avidemux2 on disk so I can use it for possible future installations. My internet connection will be going off on April Fools day and I have the 5 repository disks I need but I don't know if avidemux 2 has a file or two that go with it. Do I need some extra files? Does anyone know how I can put them on disk and use them to reinstall avidemux2 ?
