I'm running Mint 9, 32 bit, and I tried installing the Google Talk plugin in Package Installer but it keeps saying "ONLY ONE SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT TOOL IS ALLOWED TO RUN AT ONE TIME". It also says to close other software managers like "Update Manager", "Aptitude", and "Synaptic", but none of those are open!! Can I close those totally or is it just a package or a system mishap??? I have tried using Terminal and Update manager but they don't seem to help.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks.

Hi. Have you tried going to System Monitor to see the processes?
