Podcast and RSS

Postby Cheers on Fri Feb 16, 2007 5:10 pm

Hi,

I just installed Linux Mint Bianca. I am now making it complete with some applications. I am still looking for a podcast application. A application to download podcasts automatically with RSS enclosures.

I am also looking for a RSS reader.

Can Someone help me?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

For RSS I use liferea, it's in the repository.

I think Rhythmbox may be able to handle that, not sure though. Maybe someone else can offer some other choice.

Lifrea Works fine just installed it. Thank you. Now still looking for the podcast download application. Let's see if someone replies.

In the meanwhile I play a little bit with LifeRea.

Hi,

A well known podcast downloader Juice http://juicereceiver.sourceforge.net/ was telling me there was a Linux version of. But clicking te picture tells me the software is postponed. The site is redirecting me to Podnova http://sourceforge.net/project/downloading.php?groupname=podnova&filename=PodNova-2.2-Gnu_Linux.tar.gz&use_mirror=belnet
There I could download a Linux version of PodNova. but that gave me a tar.gz file. I am a pretty Newbie in Linux and LinuxMint. Could Anyone tell me how to install this in LinuxMint. It would be highly appreciated.

Regards,
Cheers
