Disappeared panel

Post by Gorai »

I updated the xbase-clients using synaptic and synaptic asked to remove a whole lot of x* like related files to which I said yes since I thought that synaptic knows what it is doing. But now I don't have my gnome panel and I am using enlightenment as my window manager. How to get back into gnome desktop? Also I cannot use synaptic in enlightenment? Why is that?

If you remove files in the x system you are likely to get problems in that region
There's a bunch of packages in xserver that are to be installed - a bit too many for me to list them here unless I find a way to print them out
