shutdown icon

I use a quick shutdown icon on my Kubuntu 7.10 installation with the command "shutdown = dcop ksmserver ksmserver logout 0 2 0" which works perfectly.
Unfortunately it doesn't on my KDE Mint 7.10 installation. Does anyone have any idea why?

Personally I use:

sudo shutdown now -P -q

...btw what is wrong with the button in the menu!?

too many clicks man...........life's too short!
btw I tried your suggestion, same result, bouncing icon then.........nothing.
Perhaps i should explain better. I have created a link to application on desktop and and given the command
"shutdown = dcop ksmserver ksmserver logout 0 2 0" This works fine on Kubuntu.
I changed the command to what you suggested "shutdown now -P -q"
but still no go

How about adding the buttons to the panel by right click adding "quick buttons for shutdown" or whatever they might be called in English, I run the Swedish version, so I don't know the exact name for it...

btw this worked for me:

Make sure you're the owner and that the file is executable.

What should I use for restart?
Again, this works in Kubuntu "restart = dcop ksmserver ksmserver logout 0 1 0" but not in Mint(KDE)
