LibreOfficeWriter will not close after printing with cups

Not sure if this is a problem with LibreOfficeWriter, Mint Cinnamon or Cups. Running the latest 64 bit version of Mint Cinnamon with all the latest updates available installed. Printer is a Brother DCP-7030 installed with drivers from the Brother website, which have always worked flawlessly in the past. Recently I noticed, that every time I print a sheet from LibreOfficeWriter, I cannot then close Writer by a mouse click on the X at the top right corner of the sheet. Other buttons work and I can close Writer by clicking File-Exit or by right clicking on the LibreOfficeWriter button on the bottom menu bar and choosing Close. Is anyone else having this problem or know of a solution?
