Dropbox overlay icons visible in Nautilus, but not in Nemo

Mint 14, Cinnamon, 32-bit.

Installed dropbox as always from the dropbox-site.

Syncing is no problem; however, overlay icons (synchronized, not yet synchronized) are missing. I tried changing theme and icons, and tried

Unlinking, relinking, reinstalling and so on: no overlay icons.

Any suggestions?

It is due to Nemo: I can see the icons in Nautilus, but not in Nemo. Tested on Mint13-64 laptop with Cinnamon 1.6 and Nemo.
Minor problem; I can live with it.

I have the same issue here, you're not alone.

However, I noticed that there is a nemo-dropbox extension, but requires me to remove dropbox itself. I haven't had the guts to try it out.

I had the guts, I did "sudo apt-get install nemo-dropbox" and it says it will remove dropbox before the terminal prompt so I put in Y for yes.
Then it said use "nemo --quit" to quit any current instances of nemo so I did, but then dropbox was still in my menu and I started it and got the syncing icons.
