I have gimp 2.6 . I want to know how to put 2 photos on a card one over the other ... the background should be solid and the forground should be misty or ghostly. Does anyone know how ? .... A long time ago I did it but cannot remember how..
Sorry to those who saw this posted 2 times .. i deleted one of them ....

Thanks,
Nate

Basics : Add alpha channels to both pictures. Copy the 2nd picture into the first (paste). Using your layers dialog, adjust the opacity of each picture to the desired level. Save the completed jpeg to a new filename.
