I installed fresh version of Mint 14 64-bit Cinnamon. Everything works great, even my Radeon 3000 Series graphic card, but i have problem with Adobe Reader.
I downloaded latest 9.5.1 version from Adobe site, install .deb package. I see Adobe Reader shortcut in menu, but when i press it nothing happens.
I also try to open PDF document with Adobe, but also nothing happens. Is this maybe problem with 32 bit support in 64 bit mint, because only file i could download is i386 adobe reader.

It looks like there might be dependency issues with the one downloaded from Adobe, or possibly 9.5.1 has troubles. I did the same thing you did and had the same results. However, if you don't mind version 9.4.7, here's what you do:

Code: Select all

sudo add-apt-repository "deb http://archive.canonical.com/ precise partner"
        sudo apt-get update
        sudo apt-get install acroread
It looks like it installed the dependencies, and actually runs.

I am running Mint 16 Cinnamon and I changed precise to quantal because I thought I would get a newer version. Not sure if it is newer but it worked. Saucy didn't work.
