Hi all, today I upgrade from Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon (x64) to Linux MInt 14 Cinnamon (x64) and as suggested in the guide I took a backup of my home directory using Mint Backup.

After installation I tried to restore the backup but everytime I select to restore from directory into home/user it doenst seem to recognise any changes?

First I choose ''Resotre Files' -> 'Directory' -> Source = (the backup DIR) -> Destination = (/home/james)

Next I click forward and it doenst appear to have picked up the backup directory. (see images)

When I click next it shoots through something than about 3seconds later it says it has completed but nothing appears to be restored?

Can anyone assist me in fixing this and restroing my data?

Also I notice in the backup directory a hidden file called .mintBackup with the following contents in is it helps?

Code: Select all

source: /media/sdd1/BACK-UP Linux Mint 13 - Before LM14
destination: /home/james
file_count: 59796
description: mintBackup

After afew restarts and several more attempts at running through the processes mentioned above it appears to have now recognised my backup and is in the process of restoring it.

Sorry to post uneeded, I guess I just need to get use to running through things a far few times before posting.

Cheers
