CLI Application Not Running from Menu

Hello All,

I would like to be able to launch a CLI application from the menu but nothing seems to happen. I downloaded xcalib from Synaptic, created a menu entry, selected "Application in Terminal" as Type - no joy. The app runs fine from an opened terminal.

Searching web / Mint forums yields nothing specific. Any help would be appreciated.
