Youtube problems on full screen.Video size small w/ borders

Postby mad-k on Sat Dec 15, 2012 4:39 am

Hi to all,

I have a cinnamon mint 14 32-bit installed on a DELL E5420 laptop with an external monitor. I haven't installed a flash plugin or graphics card drivers, the installation of the system is default, out of the box.

1st problem:When I play a youtube video on fullscreen the video is small with black borders around. Here is a screenshot http://postimage.org/image/grn7nqu3b/ It seems that this issue is circulating around in the forum with no solution so far!

2nd problem: When I play a youtube video on full screen and click anywhere on the desktop on the other monitor, flash video exits full screen.

My System info
Code: Select all
inxi -Gx
Graphics: Card: Intel 2nd Generation Core Processor Family Integrated Graphics Controller bus-ID: 00:02.0
X.Org: 1.13.0 drivers: intel (unloaded: fbdev,vesa), Resolution: 1366x768@60.0hz, 1680x1050@60.0hz
GLX Renderer: Mesa DRI Intel Sandybridge Mobile x86/MMX/SSE2, GLX Version: 3.0 Mesa 9.0 , Direct Rendering: Yes

Thank you in advance

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Ha! i have the exact same thing as your 1st problem and dont have a clue on what to do to fix it, suprisingly enough its not with alle video's as some play perfectly fine which are in High Definition i believe.
So in that aspect i think it could be a scaling issue?
