OpenOffice 2.3 Crashes When I Try to Print

I just installed the GIMP 2.4.5 from GetDeb, and now I'm having printer troubles in OpenOffice 2.3 Writer. Last night and this morning I tried printing a homework assignment, and both times, Writer just crashed on me. I even restarted the laptop to see if that would change anything, and it didn't. I exported the document to PDF and had no trouble, but I don't understand why it's happening in Writer, I've never had this problem before. Should I downgrade or something? I have no idea how to solve this.

Both gimp and Writer depends on libc6 and there may be a version conflict
I don't have that version of gimp so it's not easy to find out and google is not my friend in this case
